Food was excellent. Service was even better. We definitely recommend this anyone traveling like we were. Came in late in the evening and they still took us in. Best meal we’ve had in weeks. My wife is not happy about that statement

I love their parmesan crusted haddock. My favorite in the northwoods. Their salad bar is always fresh.

First time here. Went for lunch today. It was clean, big bar and small restaurant tables. Lucky for us it wasn't busy (Monday) but it was darker inside. The waitress was friendly and checked on us frequently. We ordered what she recommended (parmesan haddock). It was really good and comes with a salad bar that was smaller but everything was very fresh and excellent. Normally I would pass on dessert UNLESS it is homemade and the pies were homemade. Wow! I would go back just for the pie. She said a lady makes the crust every morning. I had blackberry pie. Not overly sweet and nice whole berries not the jar stuff and that crust was magnificent. 10 out of 10 for that slice. I took another one to go (lol). They own the place next door (diner place) and they have the pies there as well. So, yes we would go back it was just a little dark for us but no biggie.

Stopped for the first time to try their lunch special (muffaletta sandwich). This is a specialized Sicilian style sandwich so I didn't know what to expect. The sandwich was decent and would have been better without the tomato slice. It was much smaller than the classic and lacked the round crusty bread the classic sandwich is served on. It was served warm, I think cold would have been better. The service was attentive and friendly. I'll try again but if you're looking for the classic muffaletta experience, this isn't it. A decent attempt though.
